One should choose the 9180 for 550 to 630+rwhp range. The EFR 9174 is a new turbo that we do not have results for currently. PimpXS ecu is in car, but I ran it on MS3 Gold as that is what we keep on dyno and use as universal EFI.-FID 2000cc injectors. The EFR 9180 is available in (2) different turbine housing configurations: • 0.83 A/R T3 undivided (Internal WasteGate) • 1.05 A/R T4 twin scroll (External WasteGate) Turbine outlet: GT-Vband (aka small 3" vband) ~92mm OD for all EFR turbos All EFRs feature: • Gamma-Ti turbine wheel • Dual ceramic ball bearing assembly with metal cage The EWG version of the cast EFR 9180/9280 turbo system makes about 15-25 more RWHP per psi (above 18 psi) than the above IWG, with about 350rpms later spool time. Peak power will make 100 more rwhp @ 34psi range (740rwhp range) The EWG SXE 9180 (S366SXE) does the same as the EWG EFR 9180, but with an added 600rpms of lag.

There is some results on the seirra seirra evo with both the 9180 and the 8374. I think at 32psi on a mustang dyno it made 820whp on the 9180! With the 1.45 A/R, the 2j might benefit more of the reduced EBP over the smaller displacement cars we've seen the EFR 9180 with so far. But it's true that the turbine shaft speed should still must be managed however, and have a little headroom for boost leaks and such to not overspin it for longevity's sake over a pretty peak number on a dyno sheet, IMO. The EFR 9180 is the biggest, baddest turbo in the EFR family, capable as a standalone charger of power levels up 1000 RWHP. The 91mm OD compressor has a 67.7mm inducer at 94lb/min max flow - supporting up to 1000hp with a very large map width for outstanding power potential, even at high boost. 625rwhp @landspeedrx8 Renesis Rx8 dyno video( see last post for dyno charts). This is the current world record for most power on a 13BMSP 2 rotor.
